To Do list is getting ever longer!
I wish someone would invent a super drug that would enable one to feel fully refreshed after only minimal sleep!
I'm working ever longer hours, what with commuting, trains being late, systems falling over at work, delays to schedules and company internal work; I never seem to have enough hours in the day to do any of the things I need or would like to do.
The only reason I've actually found time to write this blog post is because I've been doing some modifications for another Drupal website that I manage and I needed to check a config on here before I deployed it to their live environment.
List of things to do over the next few weeks:
- Redeploy MySQL database for client website due to some corruption issues. - Tables seem to have got their knickers in a twist so I need to do some debugging with that.
- Sort out feasibilty of a Current Cost meter (see previous post and my friend's twitter account). Despite the fact that this would be Uber geeky I seem compelled to see how much power I use on a daily basis by my server and newly aquired fishtank.
- Install something like FckEditor onto this site. I'm feeling lazy this evening and having to write in all the necessary tags is making my fingers do all the work. I could do with some nice fancy GUI to do a bit for me!!
- Microsoft .NET development. As part of joining the Microsoft community at work I'd like to get up to speed on some more development techniques and refresh my memory on OO design and implementation. I'm already reading Head First Design Patterns which gives some good starter points on various OO patterns to use. I'm sure I can put some of this to good use in one of the many projects I've got planned. (Home automation, monitoring, fishcam)
NB: Apologies if after reading this it is utter rubbish - its late now and I should be in bed rather than writing crap on a blog that no one wants to read....I just find is useful to jot down thoughts now and then because otherwise I forget about all these ideas that I had and things I wanted to do......
